Let God Arise

God bless you mighty warriors for our King, Jesus Christ!

These last few weeks have been an amazing privilege in seeing the truth of Psalm 68:1-3 happen right before our eyes—what happens when we let God arise!

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. (Psalm 68:1-3)

One of the many truths in these verses is that we are a contributing part of how much God can arise. Letting God arise is linked to our determination to remain in His presence. As Moses learned in Exodus 33:15-16, if thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. In other words, “Lord, if your presence does not go before me, I don’t want to go!”

Psalm 16:11 tells us even more clearly that going in the presence of God is the pathway of life.

This principle is becoming more and more a part of the way He is working with us to open doors in Africa. We are thrilled by the things God is doing. For example:

We just finished the purchase of our first generator for doing schools of ministry in Kenya. It will find its first use at a leaders’ meeting this month in central Kenya where over 250 pastors are gathering. The generator resolves the issue of fluctuating (and sometimes non-existent) electric power, and it eliminates having to spend money on renting one.
Pastor Christopher and his wonderful wife Veronica are running a KFMI School of Ministry in eastern Zambia. This is the second year we have run a school in this location and it will be the first time we have been able to use the new teaching videos of our school in the Bemba language.
December will close out the year with one more school of ministry each in Kenya and Zambia, followed by our annual board of directors meeting. By the end of the year we will have graduated just under 5,000 pastors from nineteen different cities in five nations in East and Central Africa.

There is so much continuing hunger to learn how to hear the Lord’s voice, how to operate by the power of the Holy Spirit, and how to deal with curses and witchcraft. God has been teaching us how to help pastors “up their game” with the Spirit of the Lord. Soon we will enter our seventh year of ministering through these schools. Over 16,000 pastors have been a part of them thus far.

So we continue to praise God for the doors He is opening and are astonished at all He is doing!

Let God arise in us for yet greater faith to see His truth prevail around the world!
